How to Export CSV from GoAffPro
GoAffPro is a popular Shopify affiliate app. This guide covers the three CSV exports it offers — affiliates, referrals, and payouts — with column references and the cleanup work you'll do before importing elsewhere.
GoAffPro is one of the most-installed affiliate apps in the Shopify App Store, and it produces CSV exports for the three data sets every Shopify program runs on: affiliates, referrals (clicks + orders attributed), and payouts. People usually pull these for one of four reasons — switching apps, accounting reconciliation, building reporting GoAffPro's UI doesn't surface, or backing up before a major change.
Where to find each export
- Affiliates export — inside the GoAffPro admin (loaded via your Shopify Apps menu), open Affiliates, then look for an “Export” or download button at the top-right of the list. Outputs one row per affiliate with their referral code, contact info, commission rate, and lifetime stats.
- Referrals / Orders export — Referrals or Orders tab inside GoAffPro. One row per attributed Shopify order with order number, attributed affiliate, total, commission, and status.
- Payouts export — Payouts tab. One row per payout batch with affiliate, amount, method (PayPal / store credit / bank), and date paid.
If the UI labels have moved (GoAffPro iterates frequently), look for the download icon or three-dot menu on each of those three pages.
Affiliates export: columns you'll get
- Name / Email — affiliate identity.
- Referral code / Slug — what they pass in
?ref=URLs. - Coupon code — if you've assigned them a Shopify discount code for offline / podcast / influencer attribution.
- Status — Active / Pending / Suspended.
- Commission rate / type — percentage or flat amount.
- Payment method / PayPal email — payout target.
- Date joined — signup timestamp.
- Lifetime stats — visits, orders, revenue, commission paid. Snapshot at export time.
- Tags / Groups — if you've segmented affiliates by tier (Silver / Gold / VIP).
Common gotchas
- Coupon code uniqueness. Shopify discount codes are global to your store. If a previous app or merchant created “SARAH10” and GoAffPro assigned it to a different affiliate, the export shows GoAffPro's assignment but Shopify might apply the discount differently. Reconcile before importing into a new platform.
- Tier / tag assignments are GoAffPro-internal. Other platforms may not have an equivalent “Gold tier” concept — you'll need to map to a per-affiliate commission rate override at import time.
- Excel destroys leading zeros and long numeric strings. Affiliate IDs / order numbers like “001234” or “10000000000000” get mangled. Open in a text editor or import directly.
- Lifetime stats are point-in-time. The numbers reflect the moment of export and won't update.
Referrals / Orders export
One row per attributed Shopify order. Key columns:
- Order ID / Order Number — Shopify references.
- Affiliate reference — the attributed affiliate (by ID, email, or code).
- Order Total / Currency — what the customer paid.
- Commission Amount — what's owed.
- Status — Approved / Pending / Refunded / Cancelled.
- Order Date / Conversion Date — timestamps.
- Source — link click vs. coupon code attribution, if GoAffPro distinguishes.
For migration purposes this is typically informational only — you don't replay historical orders into a new platform. Keep the CSV as an audit trail.
Payouts export
Less commonly exported. One row per payout transaction with affiliate, amount, method, and date. Useful for accounting reconciliation.
What to do with the export
- Switch to a different Shopify affiliate app. Most accept GoAffPro's CSV shape directly or with minor mapping. Our GoAffPro / Refersion / AffRef comparison covers feature trade-offs.
- External reporting. Push the referrals export into Google Sheets, Looker Studio, or a Shopify-aware BI tool for analysis GoAffPro's UI doesn't surface.
- Pre-change backup. Always take an export before bulk-editing commission rates or tier assignments.
- Tiered-bonus payout math. If you give one-off bonuses GoAffPro can't natively model, do the math on top of the referrals export and pay manually.
FAQs
Can I filter the export by date range?
For referrals and payouts, yes — apply the filter on the page before exporting. Affiliates typically export as all-time.
Does the export include coupon codes I haven't synced to Shopify?
Yes — the export reflects GoAffPro's internal record of which affiliate “owns” which coupon, regardless of whether the code actually exists as a Shopify discount. Cross-check against Shopify Discounts before relying on the data.
How do I export commission tiers?
Tier / group assignments come through as a column on the affiliates export. The tier definitions themselves (e.g. “Gold = 15%”) live in GoAffPro's commission settings, which aren't part of the CSV — you'll need to manually note them and map at import time.
What about pending commissions when switching?
Pay them out from GoAffPro before migrating. If you leave pendings to be auto-released later, you risk double-paying when the new platform attributes future renewals and GoAffPro releases the historical pending balance.
