Traffic Exchanges

Surfing for Credits

Traffic Exchanges allow website owners to submit their sites to the exchange services so that other traffic exchange members will view those sites. There are usually timers that vary in length for each exchange service. Once the timer reaches zero, the surfer then clicks a link to visit the next site. These are known as manual traffic exchanges.

As you are surfing the traffic exchanges, viewing other websites, you are given a certain amount of credit for each site you view. Those credits are in turn used to show your website to other traffic exchange surfers.

You will get more visitors to your site, but the results of that visit depend on what you are offering and how the page is structured. Each page you have showing in the traffic exchanges should be short, with an email opt-in form. The shorter and more attractive your page is, the more results you will get from it.

The reason for that is due to the timer, which ranges from 10 seconds to 60 seconds, with the 60 second timer being extremely rare. Most often the timers are 10-20 seconds. That is barely enough time to get a short message across and have the visitors submit the subscription form. Most traffic exchange surfers will not surf one at a time. New surfers will most likely start with 4 exchange services, then progress to more as they become accustomed to switching between screens.

Most traffic exchanges offer Pro Upgrades that give you more credits and sometimes more benefits. Once you start seeing some results from a particular traffic exchange, check out the benefits of upgrading on each trafic exchange srevices that you use to get more out of it.
